It was a spirit-filled Sabbath at the New Providence Seventh-Day Adventist Church as the congregation gathered to celebrate a major milestone: the 2026 graduation of the Bahamas Academy sixth-grade class on May 23. The special divine service honored the young graduates as they prepare to transition from primary school into the next chapter of their academic and spiritual journeys.

Bahamas Academy’s Indelible Class of 2026 held its final senior chapel on April 29, serving as the final chapter for the graduating class before they embark on national examinations and commencement exercises. The guest speaker was educator and former alumna Dr. Veola Sophia Stewart, who encouraged the seniors to remain focused as they prepare for life beyond high school.

  Bahamas Academy’s Class of 1976 is celebrating 50 years of legacy, friendship, and faith. To mark this “golden” year, the alumni worshiped at Centreville Seventh-day Adventist Church on April 18. During the service, representatives of the class honored three outstanding educators who have left a lasting impression on their students at Bahamas Academy- Dr. John Carey, Dr. Lynn Smith, and Mrs. Hermia Brown.

   In celebration of Bahamas 242 Day, students and faculty at Bahamas Academy were honored with a special visit from The Honorable Lashell Adderley, President of the Senate, who spent her time reading to the Grade 7th and Grade 8th students. The formal introduction of the guest reader was given by Pastor Kenny Deveaux, President of the South Bahamas Conference, who highlighted President Adderley’s commitment to service and youth empowerment.
