The Communication Department of the South Bahamas Conference is a network, referred to as the SBC Media Network ministers in several areas within this field. It serves as a facilitator to the Administration and all departments of the Conference in witnessing to our community and the world.

Here are some ways the communication team serves the South Bahamas Conference:  

• Produces The Logos, which is the official publication or newsletter of the South Bahamas Conference which is distributed and/or printed for all churches.
• Produces THE ADVENTIST PAGE, a weekly, full-page insert for the NASSAU GUARDIAN (a National Newspaper).
• Manages and operates the Adventist Television channel ATV658 on REV Cable TV and Radio station, WORD SBC 88.3FM (24hrs).
• Maintains the South Bahamas Conference Headquarters' website.
• Provides video and field production services for the Administration and Departmental programs.
• Offers communication enrichment workshops.
• Develops content, promotional material, and resources for digital, print, radio, and video purposes.
• Liaison for news media and produces a weekly news feature, News Update, for television and social media channels. 
• Create local shows to be aired on WORD SBC 88.3FM and ATV658, weekly.

OTHER MEDIA RESPONSIBILITIES

To cover, record or broadcast LIVE every major Conference-wide event.  This includes national or community events when the Adventist Church is involved.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR PLEDGE?:

There are several ways to pledge the Adventist Media.

• Call in using one of the designated numbers between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.  All calls are private and not on air.
• When you call in you will be asked the amount you will pledge and will the pledge be a one-time, monthly or annually amount.
• The operator will take your name, number, email address and the amount pledging.
• At the time you designated, you will bring the pledge in cash or check (Made out to the South Bahamas Conference of SDA) at the South Bahamas Conference headquarters, #135 Tonique Williams-Darling HWY. Or Adventists can place it in the regular Tithe and Offering envelope on Sabbath and write on it "South Bahamas Conference Pledge-a-thon" along with the amount pledged.
• If persons choose not to call, they can come directly to the office mentioned above to go through the process.
• We are seeking to have online pledges also.

BECOME A SPONSOR

Become a sponsor of a radio program.  If you would like your business to sponsor radio programs, just call and let us know.  Note that WORD SBC 88.3 FM is a commercial-free station.  However, we do invite sponsors whose business names will be called at the end of a particular program.   For example, "This program has been sponsored by Green House Running Water of Tuff Lane."   Sponsorship is $50 a month.
