Bahamas Academy’s Class of 1976 is celebrating 50 years of legacy, friendship, and faith. To mark this “golden” year, the alumni worshiped at Centreville Seventh-day Adventist Church on April 18. During the service, representatives of the class honored three outstanding educators who have left a lasting impression on their students at Bahamas Academy- Dr. John Carey, Dr. Lynn Smith, and Mrs. Hermia Brown.

The class also presented a monetary donation towards the installation of air conditioning units in Bahamas Academy’s classrooms. A moment of silence was held for departed classmates and teachers. The sermon was delivered by South Bahamas Conference President Pastor Kenny Deveaux, who is also a proud alum of the class of 1976.

Pastor Deveaux emphasized that remembering God’s leading in the past is essential for facing the uncertainties of the future. He challenged the alumni and the congregation to realize that their assignment from God does not end with a diploma or retirement but continues as long as they have breath.

The celebrations concluded with a special banquet, where those present reminisced about their school years, classmates, and how far God has brought them.
