On May 30, Men from around the conference spearheaded worship services in their local churches to celebrate Men’s emphasis Day under the theme, Empowered by Christ. The day served as a reminder of the importance of spirit-led men in churches, communities and homes.

Berea Church hosts wellness retreat

The Berea Seventh-day Adventist Church recently concluded a highly successful 4-Day Wellness Retreat held at the beautiful Adventure Learning Centre from May 22nd to May 25th. Organized by the Berea Health Ministries Department under the leadership of Health Ministries Director Nathelyn LaCroix, the retreat attracted 43 participants, including both residential guests and day visitors.

The graduating class of 2026 of Bahamas Academy gathered with faculty, families, and well-wishers for their annual Baccalaureate Service on May 30, 2026. The service was held at Hillview Seventh-day Adventist Church for the senior students as they transitioned from high school to their future endeavors.

On May 23, the Children’s and Adolescents Ministries Department officially launched its new Children’s and Adolescents Tithe Envelope initiative, at the Living Faith Church, aimed at teaching CHAM kids the importance of stewardship and trusting God with their resources.

Leading the mission were Director Kenisha Simms and Assistant Director Cindy Stewart, who are both committed to pouring into the lives of children and adolescents.

Bahamas Academy’s Indelible Class of 2026 held its final senior chapel on April 29, serving as the final chapter for the graduating class before they embark on national examinations and commencement exercises. The guest speaker was educator and former alumna Dr. Veola Sophia Stewart, who encouraged the seniors to remain focused as they prepare for life beyond high school.

World Adventurer Day is a relatively new but vital tradition within the Seventh-day Adventist Church. While other major departments have long had designated days of recognition, World Adventurer Day was officially established just a few years ago to help Adventurers recognize Jesus’ presence in their everyday lives and develop a foundation of faith that will guide their choices, character, and spiritual growth for years to come.

Atlantic Caribbean Union holds Departmental Advisories

From April 20–21, 2026, leaders and departmental representatives gathered for the ATCU Departmental Advisory under the theme “Grounded in the Bible, Focused on the Mission.” The two-day meeting served as a time of spiritual renewal, strategic alignment, and a renewed call to mission across the union. The Advisory brought together the four territories of the Union- the South and North Bahamas Conferences, the Cayman Island Conference, and the Turks and Caicos Islands Conference.
