In a heartwarming act of compassion and generosity, the children and adolescent department of New Providence church donated a wide array of essential items to the Ranfurly Children’s home on December 30, 2023. This act reflected the CHAM’s department's commitment to serving the community and spreading love and hope.

Over the past few weeks, the children, parents, and leaders of the church rallied together to collect various donations including toiletries, and non-perishable food items.

The decision to support the children's home stemmed from the Church’s cham department's desire to teach the children how they can be active in mission and ministry to their peers in their community.

Heather Rolle, of the CHAM Department for the church said, "We always teach our children about Jesus, and the most important thing that we have to teach them is that God is of love, and that God gives. And of course we know this is the season of giving. So on behalf of the New Providence Seventh-day Adventist Church we just want to bless... from our darlings, to your darlings, a little token of our love, and we hope and pray this will not be our last visit, and we hope and pray that it will help them along the way."

The donations were warmly received by the Ranfurly Home, who expressed deep appreciation for the support they received from the church. It is also the hope of the CHAM department of New Providence to continue to connect with the children’s home in this new year, through other donations and programs. They hope to continue to serve and support various children's communities and organizations here in the capital.
