The Children’s and Adolescents Ministries (CHAM) Department of the South Bahamas Conference recently hosted a CPR and First Aid training on March 8, 2026, at the Red Cross Headquarters with the goal simple being to equip CHAM leaders and their team members with life-saving skills.

A total of eleven CHAM leaders participated in the session, which focused on hands-on learning and real-life situations. The leaders were guided through important techniques from a qualified technician in the field with many years of experience, as she shared her knowledge and guidance in the areas of CPR, basic first aid, how to stay calm and respond effectively during an emergency, the CHAM leaders remained fully engaged.

This training along with others are part of CHAM’s continued effort to make sure that those who are working with children and adolescents are not only spiritually prepared, but also ready to handle physical emergencies with confidence and care. By the end of the day, CHAM leaders and their teams shared that they felt more confident in their ability to step in and assist during emergency situations.

Overall, the initiative reflects CHAM’s commitment to creating safe and supportive environments for children and youth across the conference.
