On July 29, a momentous event unfolded at the Bethany Seventh-day Adventist Church as they formally installed their new pastor, Kareem Black. The journey leading to this day commenced in December of 2022 when Pastor Black was appointed to lead the congregation. He also serves as the pastor of the Message of Hope Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

The atmosphere was one of reverence as the elders, congregation, and pastoral family came together to seek divine guidance through a heartfelt litany.

Present at the event was South Bahamas Conference President, Pastor Kenny Deveaux. He offered a special prayer asking for God's unity and commitment to the church and pastoral family.

Pastor Black was symbolically equipped for his new role, as he was entrusted with the 2020-2025 strategic evangelistic plan to help aid the congregation in spiritual growth and outreach. Monique Culmer, leader of the Women's Ministries Department at the church, made a presentation on behalf of the church to Pastor Black's wife, Carissa Black.

In his sermon, Pastor Black drew inspiration from the life of the apostle Paul, urging the congregation to cultivate meaningful relationships with their fellow man. He encouraged them to embody the qualities of empathy, compassion, and understanding that Paul exemplified.

The installation ceremony was a great reminder of the importance of faith-based communities and how leaders are to provide spiritual enrichment.
