In a pioneering effort to embrace the digital age for spreading the message of faith, the Hillview Seventh-day Adventist Church hosted a Cellphone Evangelism Training by Adventist World Radio from November 6th to 8th and then again from the 13th to the 15th. 

Led by Pastor Neville Neveling and Anina Wasserman, the training aimed to equip church members with the skills needed to effectively use cellphones for evangelism. 

Cellphone evangelism was underscored as a crucial avenue for connecting with individuals in the modern world. With smartphones becoming an integral part of daily life, the training emphasized the importance of leveraging these devices to transcend geographical boundaries and engage with people on a personal level. 

Pastor Neville Neveling and Anina Wasserman imparted four important tips for effective cellphone evangelism,

  • Invite people to connect when they have a need 
  • Show sympathy and minister to their needs 
  • Win their confidence through friendship
  • Prayerfully invite them to study the bible 

As the Cellphone Evangelism Training concluded at Hillview SDA Church, attendees left inspired and equipped to use their cell phones as tools for spreading the timeless message of hope and faith. The training marked a significant step towards bridging the gap between traditional outreach and the digital era, fostering a spirit of connection and community in the heart of South Bahamas
