With a contingency of 25, pastors along with their spouses from the South Bahamas Conference (SBC) traveled to Punta Canta, Dominican Republic for the 2nd Inter-American Division (IAD) Pastoral Retreat from Sunday, September 10th through Friday, September 15th.

Under the theme “Anointed”, over 1,700 pastors throughout the IAD along with their spouses convened daily at the Barcelo Bavaro Convention Centre. The Atlantic Caribbean Union consisting of the South & North Bahamas Conferences, the Cayman Island Conference, and the Turks Island Mission, had over 80 administrators, pastors, and spouses representing the Union.

During the retreat, the pastors, their spouses, and church administrators were urged to seek the outpouring of the Holy Spirit as they minister in their church districts. The president of the Atlantic Caribbean Union, Pastor Peter Kerr also received a copy of the Andrews Bible Commentary as a commitment from the IAD that every pastor in each union will receive the two-volume commentary to enrich their bible studies.

The retreat ended with the pastors and their spouses renewing their marriage vows to one another and the signing of a commitment to ministry card.
