Bahamas Academy’s Indelible Class of 2026 held its final senior chapel on April 29, serving as the final chapter for the graduating class before they embark on national examinations and commencement exercises.

The guest speaker was educator and former alumna Dr. Veola Sophia Stewart, who encouraged the seniors to remain focused as they prepare for life beyond high school. Dr. Stewart shared her personal academic journey as an example of perseverance.

“It is not where you start, but where you finish,” she said.

“With determination, discipline, faith, and persistence, your story can become greater than you ever imagined. To the Indelibles, leave a mark that cannot be erased. Keep moving, keep growing, keep believing, and keep making your mark.”

The students shared "Senior Reflections,"  recounting memories from their years on the campus, their future goals, and how the school has helped to shape their growth, spiritually, mentally, and academically.

“From the past 12 years at Bahamas Academy, I have grown so much as a person, and I’m ready for the next chapter of my life,” said Christopher Carter.

“I plan on studying biochemistry at the University of the West Indies, get into medical school, and hopefully become a gastroenterologist here in The Bahamas.”

Class president Amira Sullivan reflected on leadership and personal growth during her address, emphasizing the meaning of influence beyond titles.

“To be a leader is not always putting yourself in the forefront,” she said.

“This quote has resonated with me as senior class president of the Indelible Class of 2026. I was able to see not only my peers grow but also face my own inner growth. It saddens me that our journey is rapidly ending, but all great things must come to an end. We have truly left our mark.”

Oryan Dean encouraged his peers to remain grounded in values learned throughout their time at the institution.

“Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believer,” he said, quoting 1 Timothy 4:12.

“We have engaged in outreach programs, giving back to our community. We will always remember the values Bahamas Academy has taught us—learning, speaking, and engaging with others in a positive mindset. You are what God meant you to be.”

Rachel Bain also reflected on her years of academic and extracurricular achievements, highlighting the impact of teachers and faith on her development.

“Being a part of the Indelible Class of 2026 has left me with memories I will never forget,” she said.

“I credit my success not only to God, but also to the teachers who molded me and gave me the knowledge I will carry into the future. Without Him, I would not be standing here today.”
