On March 7, 2026, a momentous chapter began as the South Bahamas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists hosted a dual groundbreaking ceremony on Gladstone Road. The event marked the official commencement of construction for two sister congregations: the Trinity Seventh-day Adventist Church and La Senda de la Vida Seventh-day Adventist Church.

President of the Atlantic Caribbean Union, shared his hope that these new sanctuaries will serve as 'beacons of light' in the community.

Price said, "I am so happy today that you have come to make a difference here in this community. And God has called us to raise up a church amongst the churches, amongst the ministries. God has called us to raise up a church in this area, and we have to do it quickly. We cannot lag, we cannot drag, but we have to move quickly. So I am here to remind you that we cannot do it alone."

The ceremony featured reflections from church elders detailing the unique journeys of both congregations: Trinity Seventh-day Adventist Church was formed in January 2024 through the merger of three smaller congregations—Agape, Message of Hope, Peardale. La Senda de la Vida was originally established in 2013 to serve the Hispanic community in The Bahamas. Under the theme of Psalm 127:1, "Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it," Pastor Kenny Deveaux, President of the South Bahamas Conference, delivered a powerful charge He emphasized that while concrete and steel would form the structures, the true strength of these churches would lie inn "prayer, unity, sacrifice, and obedience."

The ceremony concluded with the symbolic turning of the soil by conference administration, church elders, and the contractor. The full ceremony can be viewed on the South Bahamas Conference’s YouTube page.
