In a powerful display of gratitude and fellowship, three Creole-speaking churches, the Ebenezer, Bethel, and Francophone Churches, gathered to host a special Elders Appreciation weekend, honoring those who serve as the spiritual backbone of their churches.

The day was marked by a sacred Sabbath service on February 28, followed by an elegant Gala Dinner on March 1, where the elders and their families were the guests of honor. Host Pastor Ernst Prince and his family shared their gratitude to the elders for their remarkable commitment to the churches. During the gala, the elders, along with their wives, were gifted with tokens of appreciation, and the head elders of each church- Rodney Joseph, Sedel Vedrine, and Dr. Junior Joseph were also publicly recognized for their sacrifice to the mission of the church.

At the gala, Pastor Prince also acknowledged the efforts of Pastor Melvin Lewis, former Conference Administrator, who pastored the creole-speaking churches for over nine years.

Over the past year, the role of the elders in the Creole-speaking churches has evolved from administrative oversight to profound spiritual mentorship.

Pastor Prince and his family hope that elders in the churches are acknowledged yearly for their service. Pastor Prince also shared that he hopes other congregations and pastors can show gratitude to all those who live a life of service for the ministry.
