Members of the Hillview Adventist church shared acts of kindness during their compassionate Sabbath celebration on June 8th, 2024. Going beyond the church walls, the members, young and old, went into the surrounding communities to show God’s love.

Rahming shared, “We’re here from the Hillview Seventh-day Adventist church, and today is compassion Sabbath. And our youth department, we went out and we’re giving out gas vouchers to the people who come here to Rubis gas station. So this is our part in showing compassion and serving others in the name of the Lord.”

Some individuals visited houses and presented care packages to the homes. Not to be left out, the pathfinders visited the Nurse Naomi Anna Christie Centre for Older Persons where they sang songs, prayed for and encouraged the residents.

To conclude Compassionate Sabbath, members reconvened at the church where they shared their experiences and testified of how God was able to use them to reach others.

We praise God for the Hillview church as they continue to spread His light and be a witness for Him.
