On November 22nd, 2025, the Steven’s Seventh-day Adventist Church on Long Island hosted an inspiring Children’s Thanksgiving Service at our church. The service was a collaborative effort between students from Little Plants Nursery and Daycare Centre and the children of Steven’s Church. Together, they presented the Pilgrim Story, centering on Captain Jonah’s voyage, bringing history to life in a way that was both  .

A significant part of the Thanksgiving service was in giving back to those in need. The children brought canned goods, which were distributed to support families in the community. Witnessing the bright smiles and gratitude from those visited was deeply moving, reminding the children that Thanksgiving is about gratitude.

The church treasurer also contributed to the event by donating $200.00 for groceries. This generous gift enabled us to provide even more support to those in need, ensuring that the spirit of giving reached as many as possible. According to Racquel Darville, Children’s Ministry Leader of Steven’s Church, this year’s Thanksgiving service provided the opportunity for the children to share acts of kindness and become more involved in the mission of the church.

Darville said, “The gratitude expressed throughout the event served as a powerful reminder of the true meaning of Thanksgiving. We are grateful for the support of the church and the community and look forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come.”
