On April 25th, students from Orlando Junior Academy came to Bahamas Academy and received a warm Bahamian-style welcome. The eighth graders took a class trip on a cruise ship and decided to spend some time at the Adventist school during their stop in Nassau.

According to Bahamas Academy Principal Juliette Sands, the school was delighted to accept the students as a thank you to Orlando Junior Academy for hosting the Bahamas Academy senior class a month earlier.

During their visit, the students participated in a community service program with Bahamas Academy Agriculture teacher Earl Thomas. They learned how to properly prepare the soil for the plants and each student had the opportunity to plant them in the ground.

The Bahamas Academy family also presented them with various tokens to keep with them as they continued their journey. The visit also turned into a small reunion as Orlando Junior Academy Principal Celestine Creighton is a Bahamas Academy Alumna and former staff member.
