World Adventurer Day is a relatively new but vital tradition within the Seventh-day Adventist Church. While other major departments have long had designated days of recognition, World Adventurer Day was officially established just a few years ago to help Adventurers recognize Jesus’ presence in their everyday lives and develop a foundation of faith that will guide their choices, character, and spiritual growth for years to come. This year, World Adventurer Day was held on May 16, under the theme, "Walking with Jesus," which reminded the little ones that no matter what they face, Jesus will be with them.

During the day, children, parents, and leaders gathered in their local churches to showcase what it means to be spiritually grounded from a young age. Through music, drama, and heartfelt presentations, these "little soldiers for Jesus" reminded us that faith is not a destination, but a daily journey taken one step at a time.

The adventurers delivered powerful sermons on biblical characters who walked with God, like Moses, Enoch and Peter. The celebration continued at Berea Seventh-day Adventist Church where representatives from the local churches illustrated that walking with Jesus is about trusting the One who knows the way.

Also present at the service were South Bahamas Conference Administrators, Atlantic Caribbean Union and South Bahamas Conference Youth Directors, Pastor Andrew Burrows and Pastor Manasseh Simms.

During a special video presentation featuring families from the islands, young adventurers shared what walking with Jesus looks like in their daily lives.

In a dynamic sermonette, Pastor Lee Anthony Burrows engaged the children with a "spy mission" inspired by the twelve spies sent into Canaan. Pastor Burrows encouraged the children to be like the two faithful spies—to look at their problems through the lens of God's power.

“When we walk with Jesus, we have no reason to be scared. We have no reason to be fearful. When we are with God, all things are possible. God even said if we have a tiny bit of faith that faith can grow into a big tree.” Burrows said.

World Adventurer Day concluded in the South Bahamas Conference on May 17 with special adventures happening around the Bahamas. In Eleuthera, the adventurers gathered at Hill Top Farm. The adventurers in Andros spent the day with The Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute, and here in the capital, the adventurers visited the Adventure Learning Centre.
