On behalf of the Administration of the South Bahamas Conference, I bid each of you a warm welcome to Convention 2026 and a Happy New Year! I also want to take this opportunity to thank you for your unwavering support during the past year, and we look forward to incredible blessings in 2026.

As we begin this New Year, we do so with hope and faith in Almighty God. God continues to be faithful to each of us because of His unconditional love for us. As we move forward this year, fears and doubts may arise. However,

Ellen White reminds us that we have nothing to fear for the future, except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us in our past. So, let us continue to keep our faith and trust in God. He is in control of these uncertain times, and we know that God’s plan for His children will prevail.

This weekend, we have come together under the theme: “Commissioned for Mission”. Our existence is simply to bring honour and glory to God by obeying and carrying out the mission to make disciples. We must seek the lost, preach and baptize, then teach them to obey the commands of God.

Our guest speaker for this weekend is Pastor Debleaire Snell from Breath of Life Ministries and Oakwood University Church. He is a gifted speaker and one who is dedicated and committed to accomplishing God’s Mission.

We welcome him to our conference and pray that God will again use him mightily as he ministers during this weekend. It is our hope and prayer that during this Convention, the name of Jesus will be lifted and that we will all be united in HIM.

This is the key to the successful completion of the Mission. Welcome again and may God continue to bless each of us abundantly.
