Since 2024, ASI has decided to do ministry intentionally throughout our archipelago. During April 2024, the team took the Health Message to the residents of Central and North Andros. In October, they took the Gospel, inclusive of the Health Message, to Sunyani, Ghana, where over 500 lives were impacted and over 30 persons were baptized into the family of God. In April 2025, a 28-member team travelled to Cat Island and lit up the community with Health Evangelism.

On May 30 – June 9, 2025, eighteen missionaries from across New Providence, Grand Bahama, and Abaco participated in a mission trip in Matthew Town, Inagua. The week started with 3 missionaries: Evangelist Osmond LaCroix, Elder Carolyn Deal, and Bro. James Hanna, who, along with members of the New Life Church, conducted a one-week nightly Health Evangelistic Campaign under the theme, ’Who Better to Trust?’ Participants learned about how to take care of themselves physically, mentally, and spiritually. On Thursday, June 5, we are still praising God that two souls were added to the Lamb’s Book of Life! They were presented with a baptismal package during the Divine Worship Service.

On June 6, the remaining 15 missionaries traveled to Inagua to continue the mission. The team flooded a section the community going door – to – door to remind the members of the community to attend the weekend of activities. On Friday evening, missionary and President Ian Greene lit up the pulpit with a powerful message titled, ‘Jesus & Me,’ that we would not soon forget. Sabbath School was conducted by missionary Michelle Greene, who linked the fruit of the Spirit with our lifestyle. President Greene also led out in a very lively and interactive Bible study.

This year, across the Interamerican Division, we celebrated 162 years of the Seventh-day Adventist Health Message. ASI Secretary, missionary Shandera Smith, in her presentation, stated that the Health Message has transformed lives through its simple yet effective means and that it has brought and continues to bring healing, deliverance, and happiness through the power of the Holy Spirit for over 162 years. To commemorate this event, all visitors were presented with an Amazing Health Facts 8 Bible Secrets magazine.

ASI Vice President of Evangelism, missionary David Williams, presented the sermon titled, ‘NEW START in Christ,’ where we were challenged to ensure that we have a relationship with Christ and the assurance of eternal life, point others to Christ, and follow the 8 Laws of Health. After our spiritual feast, we enjoyed a sumptuous fellowship meal with our visitors. The team flooded the other section of the island, doing visitations just before joining with the community as they celebrated their 2025 High School Graduation. Graduation packages were presented to each graduate on behalf of ASI.

On Sunday morning, the team took the opportunity to visit Morton Salt Company, where they learned about how salt is harvested, cleaned, packaged, and shipped.  This tour reminded us that we are the salt of the earth.

A few team members also visited one of the community churches for their worship service.

Later that afternoon, a Community Health Expo was held. Participants took a guided tour with the eight laws of health; got their health assessments done and given health tools, and were taught how to make delicious and nutritious plant-based meals.

We wish to thank the residents of Inagua for their support and hospitality.

The missionaries went with the intention of ministering, and that’s just what they did. However, they did not realize the impact it would have on their lives. They are eager and excited to share Christ! They are anticipating and excitedly awaiting our next mission adventure to Long Island on September 25 – 28, 2025. Will you join us or assist us as we go, fulfilling the mission of Christ?

Today, we celebrate ASI Day across Inter-American. Our theme is, 'Faith that Conquers fear." Come and worship with us at the Berea Church for all our Sabbath services.
