As the South Bahamas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists prepares for its milestone 7th Quadrennial Session, scheduled  for  November  7–9,  2026, believers across the islands are invited to unite in a powerful Conference-wide Prayer Journey from October 18 through November 8, 2026. The initiative will be held daily from 5:30 am to 6:30 am and will center on the inspiring theme Scriptures of Matthew 28:18–20 and Acts 1:8.

The primary purpose of this spiritual journey is to seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance, renew individual and corporate commitment to Christ, and prepare hearts for the upcoming business and fellowship of the Session. Conference leadership emphasizes that every report, election, deliberation, and decision made during the Quadrennial Session must ultimately advance God's mission.

Every congregation, every morning: All members are invited to participate throughout the journey, including mornings when their congregation is not leading.

One shared gathering: Use a conference-designated online or telephone connection. Circulate the confirmed access details with the schedule and provide local prayer groups where connectivity is limited.

Shared leadership: Each assigned congregation should involve its pastor or elder, prayer ministries leader, and members, including youth. The first listed church coordinates that morning’s programme with the other two.

Daily invitations: Pastors and prayer leaders should share the next morning’s Scripture and prayer emphasis through church announcements and member communication groups.

Prayer expressed in mission: Invite each participant to pray daily for someone they can encourage, serve, or introduce to Jesus.

Continued intercession: Carry this spirit of prayer into the Session itself, November 7–9, remembering its responsibility to receive reports, elect leaders, consider constitutional amendments, and transact other proper business.

Daily Order of Service

Each morning follows a structured and spiritually enriching format designed to maximize focus, intercession, and fellowship:

5:30–5:35 a.m. – Welcome, theme reminder, and opening prayer

5:35–5:40 a.m. – Hymn or song of praise

5:40–5:48 a.m. – Scripture reading and brief devotional

5:48–5:58 a.m. – First assigned church: Praise, thanksgiving, and personal consecration

5:58–6:08 a.m. – Second assigned church: Intercession for the day’s Session-related emphasis 6:08–6:18 a.m. – Third assigned church: Prayer for members, communities, and mission across the conference

6:18–6:25 a.m. – United prayer, including brief member petitions

6:25–6:30 a.m. – Mission commitment, closing prayer, and next-day reminder

(On the opening morning of October 18, Conference Administration and Prayer Ministries Coordinators will oversee the program.)

The prayer schedule takes participants through a thoughtful progression of themes addressing personal spiritual life, church governance, and community outreach:

Week 1 (Oct 18–24): Focuses on consecrating the entire conference and the coming Session to God, personal repentance, unity across generations and islands, spiritual empowerment, faithful stewardship, officers and departmental directors, and integrity and accountability.

Week 2 (Oct 25–31): Turns toward delegates seeking wisdom, the nominating and election processes for servant leaders, the establishment of an executive committee guided by God, clarity on constitutional bylaws, and renewed Sabbath worship.

Final Days (Nov 1–9): Focuses on grace in deliberations, island-wide mission proclamation, engaging every generation, safe travel and logistical preparations, peace and trust regarding election outcomes, and final consecration and committing the session and the next quadrennium to God.

Participants are encouraged to translate their prayer life into active mission by daily seeking opportunities to encourage, serve, or introduce someone to Jesus. This spirit of intercession will flow directly into the Quadrennial Session itself as delegates receive reports, elect leaders, and transact the business of the church.

Our United Prayer

"Lord, prepare our hearts, guide our decisions, unite Your church, and empower us to fulfil Your commission. May this Session renew our devotion to Jesus and send us forward together, Commissioned For Mission. Amen."
