The Atlantic Caribbean Union (ATCU) of Seventh-day Adventists is set to host its Third Quinquennial Constituency Session from December 6 to 7, 2025, under the theme “Let Him Lead the Way.” The session will take place at the Hillview Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nassau, Bahamas, and will gather church leaders, delegates, and guests from across the three countries of the union: The Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, and the Turks and Caicos Islands, along with leaders of the Inter-American Division (IAD).

The event will begin on Saturday, December 6, at 5:00 p.m. with a time of praise and celebration. The program will feature the keynote address from Pastor Abner de los Santos, IAD president, who will be making his first visit to the territory since his election in July of this year. The business session will open with reports from the three officers on highlights from the period under review, membership, and finances.

The meeting will continue on Sunday with reports from departmental directors and the Nominating Committee.

This session is about accountability. Leaders will present reports and be available for questions. It’s an opportunity to analyze the state of the ATCU—organizationally, financially, and statistically—and to cast a vision for how best to advance God’s work in the region.

But, there’s more than business reports and votes. It’s also a celebration that highlights mission, evangelism, and the blessings of the Lord over the past five years. The meetings will not only be administrative in nature but also spiritual. With morning devotionals, worship experiences, and moments of prayerful reflection, leaders aim to keep Christ at the center of every discussion and decision.

Delegates for the session are chosen by each executive committee of the four fields: the Cayman Islands Conference, the North Bahamas Conference, the South Bahamas Conference, and the Turks and Caicos Islands Conference.

Each delegate plays a critical role in the democratic process of the church’s governance, ensuring that the voice of the broader membership is heard and represented.  Rolle spoke about the preparation process and the importance of the role delegates play.

“The delegate selection process is deliberate and prayerful. Each conference ensures that the individuals chosen reflect the diversity and voice of their membership. Leading up to the session, significant work goes into compiling reports, preparing agendas, and coordinating logistics so that the business of the church is conducted in a spirit of order and with a mission focus,” said Dr. Cheryl Rolle.
