  • When was this church established?

    The Local Church in The Bahamas was established in 1911 and the World Church was established in 1863.

  • What is the name of the church leaders, and how long was he/she the leader?

    The President of the Local Church in The South Bahamas Conference is Pastor Kenny Deveaux (Elected November 2018), and the President of the World Church is Pastor Ted Wilson (Elected 2010).

  • How big is the membership?

    The membership in The South Bahamas Conference is 16,000, and the membership in the World Church is 25,000,000.

  • Does this church offer program/s for the family?

    Yes we do. We have an active Family Ministry department, which includes Marriage Club and Single Ministry.

  • Does this church offer program/s to assist members who are or use to be addicted to drugs and alcohol?

    Yes we do. We have active programs that includes stop smoking and stop drinking.

    Yes we do. We have our Youth Ministry department which addresses such concerns in teenagers. In addition, we have Adventist Youth established in each church.

    We offer counselling through trained Psychologists and other mental health professionals.

  • What does this church do to assist couples that may be experiencing marital problems?

    We offer marital counselling, marriage training and seminars.

  • Does this church offer financial counseling or support to families that may have fallen on hard times?

    Yes we do. We understand the strain that sin has caused including lost of jobs and various disasters. In addition, we strive to be our brothers keepers.

  • What does this church recommend to family members that may be experiencing domestic violence?

    We recommend that the abused leave that environment and that steps be implemented for counselling and reconciliation.

  • What would be the reaction of this church if one of its teens became pregnant out of wedlock?

    The church believes that sex is received for married couples. As such, we would be disappointed if this should happen; however we believe and practice forgiveness and would offer counseling and support.

  • Are there any program/s that would assist teens to get married?

    Yes - we have pre-marital counselling available and various seminars to educate teens of various aspects of marriage.
