The Adventist Virtual Library, also known as BiVA hosted its first online contest on September 23rd, 2025, catering to middle and high school students. The event brought together 11 finalists from across various unions in the Inter-American Division. BiVA is a digital library service that provides access to academic databases, e-books, journals, and other educational resources for teachers, students, and researchers within the division’s educational system.

The competition featured four rounds, each with 10 multiple-choice questions. Contestants were tested on material from Judges chapters 1–21 and Ellen G. White’s Patriarchs and Prophets chapters 53–54.

Representing the Atlantic Caribbean Union,  Khushi Kodavati competed among the finalists and shared her experience with ATV news.

Kodavati said, "I had so much nerves on me, but then I went to the competition, and I saw the material, I was at ease because the stuff that I actual enjoyed about the book of Judges came on. So it was good. And I'm hopeful that I get more opportunities like this and that I am able to grasp them because it was a really enjoyable experience, and that's what really matters."

Pastor Abner De Los Santos, President of the Inter-American Division, emphasized the purpose of the competition. He said, "The Bible is more than a source of knowledge; it is a tool  transformation. God wants children and young people to grow, serve, and ultimately be wi Him."

Students can already begin preparing for next year’s Bible competition, scheduled for September 22nd, 2026. Also, teachers will have their own special contest on Ellen G. White’s Adventist Education on October 3rd, 2026. For those who would like to explore BiVA’s resources, visit biva.interamerica.org or download the app in your App Store or Google Play Store.
