A history-making moment took place during October 14–18, 2025, as the Children’s and Adolescence Ministries (CHAM) and Youth Departments of the South Bahamas Conference joined forces for a one-of-a-kind Week of Prayer experience under the theme “Full Cup: Running on Faith.” This collaboration was the first of its kind, uniting both ministries under one theme and one venue, complete with a casual, café-style vibe that made everyone from the smallest child to the oldest youth feel right at home.

But this collaboration was more than just convenient for parents who appreciated the “one drop-off” plan. It was about building a bridge between two ministries that serve the same families, strengthening the connection between generations. Leaders shared that they wanted CHAM kids to see what comes next in their spiritual journey, helping them transition naturally into the Youth Department. The result? A week that beautifully captured faith in motion as young hearts were growing, learning, and worshiping together.

The theme “Full Cup: Running on Faith” was chosen to remind both children, adolescents, and the youth that God desires to fill every part of their lives with His presence, love, and strength. Just like a cup that overflows when it’s full, our lives overflow with joy, courage, and service when we are filled by God’s Spirit.

The CHAM Café ran each night at 7:00 p.m., led by the ever-energetic and fast-becoming favorite storyteller, Uncle Mike. Through fun, “hot tea-inspired” themes, kids learned about God’s love, courage, and forgiveness while connecting those lessons to familiar Bible stories. Each night built on the idea of being poured into by God and learning to pour out love to others:

• Day 1 – Opening Pour: Love That Brings Joy (Joseph & His Coat)

• Day 2 – First Sip: Faith That Wakes Us Up (Abraham)

• Day 3 – Steeped in Grace: Forgiving & Growing Together (The Prodigal Son)

• Day 4 – House Blend: Courage to Keep Running (David & Goliath)

• Day 5 – Full Cup: Ready to Serve & Ready to Share

Meanwhile, just across the hall, the Youth Department hosted its own café-style experience filled with powerful worship, live music, and real talk sessions. Speakers Scharlee Swain, Stanley Philord, Charlene Frederic, Sir Willard Barr, and Tyla Rahming led the charge, tackling real-life challenges and helping young people reconnect with their faith in an authentic way. The atmosphere was refreshing, laid-back yet deeply spiritual for the youth in attendance, where they could laugh, question, and grow together.

Here’s what their week looked like:

• Tuesday: Full but Empty — Pretending to Be Okay (2 Timothy 3:5)

• Wednesday: Fill Me Up Again — Finding Restoration (Psalm 23:3)

• Thursday: What’s in Your Cup? — Healing Hidden Hurt (Matthew 23:25)

• Friday: Pour It Out — Living a Loud Faith (John 7:38)

• Sabbath: Overflow — Living on Full (Psalm 23:5)

By the end of the week, one thing was clear that this wasn’t just another event; it was something bigger. The partnership between CHAM and Youth shows exactly what can happen when ministries work together: children inspired, youth re-energized, families connected, and faith renewed.
