During the CHAM Week of Prayer, we hope that the children of the South Bahamas Conference will learn to understand the importance of prayer. The theme of this year’s readings is ‘Steel Values’. As we go through these inspirational lessons during the upcoming week, the children will present on topics of Faith, Perseverance, Humility, Fidelity, and Integrity.

Christians globally call this month Clergy Appreciation Month. Many professions have designated times during a given year when they are honoured and so in a similar light those engaged in pastoral ministry have the privilege of being officially honoured in October. This is not new; the genesis of a formal Clergy Appreciation began in the early 1990s.
